Letter to the Editor: Politricks: The rise and fall

Now that the Covenant Party is weakening as I predicted, and many others too, what better way to hold onto power than to merge with a nationally known party, the Republican Party, which will now dominate the U.S. House of Representatives.

But the Covenant Party’s power shift is nothing more than a ploy to hold onto power because no one seems to have faith anymore in the current administration’s promises, not even its own loyal followers.

I remember years back when they said “Down with the Republicans and Democrats!”

In order to save its back-door hires, this administration has no route but go back to a recognized party.

One can tell that the Covenant Party is weakening when Kilili won in Precinct 2 last November. What an upset! For years, Precinct 2 was dominated by the Covenant Party. I didn’t even see that coming. The people in that area, and everywhere else, have grown weary and tired. They came out from closed curtains, fed-up with their lifestyle and the promises made to them.

In this era of confusion, we find ourselves dazed and confused with what the administration will do next.

Yes, there were many firsts. Here are some notables: second highest official jailed, power failures, the take-out masseuse incident, the government shutdown, austerity measures, tax rebate delays, fire and hire games, the rift among House members, power disconnections of government offices, everything but the kitchen sink. Be thankful for making it today and the days before because we do not know what tomorrow will bring.
