The management and staff were always friendly and helpful, and I got to know many of them over time. They carry many small items that I like (Haiga rice with the germ), may have the best pork selection in town, and, of course, Asahi beer in its many colored cans.
I would particularly like to say farewell to my friends in the cutting room, the “Men of Meat,” as I always called them. They were always fun to deal with and very accommodating when I had specific requests.
As a sign of the times, this is not a good one.
