Because of a lack of action the federal court saw no other way to handle this than to bring on a receiver to do the job.
What has happened is we have people from the outside coming in and basically penalizing all of us for the lack of action from our governor and the head of DPW.
The district court says jump and all of our leaders are asking “how high, judge?”
Our elected leaders are not standing up to the feds on our behalf and I am so sad that nobody has the guts to say no to this.
There is a company on Guam willing to do this far cheaper than what it will cost us under the receiver but this seems to fall on deaf ears most of the time.
We should not have to pay the exorbitant fees being paid out now to the receiver. We should instead be saying no.
Who will go to jail for contempt if we fail to pay this money?
We’ve got so much more to pay due to the inaction of department heads.
There is no issue on Guam right now that is going to cost us more than this dump will.
We shouldn’t pay.
