1. I understand that federal money covers the cost of this project but it will be local money paying the power bills, money the local government does not have. I believe this is a misuse of federal funds as the cemetery does NOT need power.
2. A generator could be used for a pump for the bathrooms but there is no need for lighting or irrigation. We get plenty of rain! The Veterans Cemetery has gotten along just fine with only a generator. Banzai has bathrooms but no power!
3. Each time a project is allowed in Marpi the demise of our major tourist attraction is continued. This is just another example of the continuing encroachment on the beauty of one of Saipan’s major natural attractions.
