Why do you think we always pray for our political leaders — because the devil is smart enough to know that if our leaders are on his side the rest of us will be a piece of cake. Just think, we ask God for all the good things in life, yet it seems we are facing many of the hardships of life in the CNMI and anyone who can afford to IS LEAVING.
The people in the CNMI are living just like the devil wants us to live in a state of dismay with a dim unsure future, the promotion of prejudice and even hatred toward fellow citizens and foreigners, corruption at every level of the government has been exposed and continues to be exposed by the feds, an economy that is dying and our government has no real plan to put us on life support to revitalize our economy and what makes it even worse is our leaders are doing their very BEST to force the people to accept a casino as their ONLY salvation — duh! So you can’t tell me the devil isn’t winning some battles when I see poverty being created instead of being diminished, racial tension with a wall of Social Imperialism within our society to separate outsiders & aliens, criminals at the highest level of government and we are going NOWHERE FAST!
MVA has done its job and come up with a plan to revitalize our Tourist Industry but the government has failed to respond because the powers that be want casinos and they don’t care how much we have to suffer to make it happen. Citizens and the Senate have told the Lower House NO to Casinos THREE TIMES and yet they keep trying to force it down our throats. The sad part is the leaders who are promoting the casino have flat our refused to tell the people WHO is this investor that only wants to build casinos. Why all the secrecy when our future and quality of life is at stake? The secrecy is a sure sign of proof that some of our leaders have made back room deals and can’t be trusted to respect the decision by the people and refuses to act in the best interest of the people who hired them.
I mentioned this once before, you can only work for one of the two dominions at a time — God or the devil. Yes, you can work for both but not at the same time and that is the BIG problem because we all have good in us but sometimes the devil will get the best of ALL of us — self included, which is why we pray for ourselves and our leaders at Church or Mass because we need the constant spiritual nourishment to keep us strong morally. The leaders behind the casinos must know in their heart that they are morally wrong yet they continue to work for the devil for obvious personal financial gain — greed, is a deadly sin. Refusing to help MVA and forcing the people to continue suffering is just part of the plan to bring us down to the point that we will accept the casinos, which I can only view as the work of the devil.
I wrote almost a year ago about how our present leaders were not going to give us anything but a casino and now the proof should be obvious to everyone with common sense. But who really listens to the outsider with a degree in Economics who warned the CNMI about the demise of the Garment Industry four years before it happened? Who was really listening to our Fathers in Washington when they told the people in so many words that Article XII would not withstand the test of time and to stop bringing in so many alien workers and to raise the minimum wage? Who really listened to the Dr. on Tinian who has all kinds of degrees with the knowledge and expertise on energy and other things that could help to solve some of the many of the challenges we face? It is common knowledge that if an idea does not come from a local then it will more than likely go into the trash — a for-true and sad fact which gives credibility to that old saying “don’t bite the hand that is trying to help (or) feed you.”
But there is hope as the Legislature is starting to change because good always overcomes evil in the end. The speaker is now teetering on giving up FINALLY and thank God for that, the demand by Rep. Benavente to give MVA the financial support they need should help to wake-up and rally the government and community to support MVA, the passage of legislation by a 17 to 2 vote to have an elected AG which will surely change the dynamics of the executive office and hold that vital branch of our government more accountable to the PEOPLE! It should be obvious to voters who is working for God and who was working for the devil in the vote on the AG bill because it is as clear as the rising sun for me to see.
But the truly GREAT thing about the devil’s involvement is the fact that God is in this TOOOO and if you know anything about God you know that he doesn’t always show up when we want but he is there when most needed.
This is why I keep saying that divine intervention may be our only hope for finding prosperity in the CNMI because we the people keep letting the devil win battles that he shouldn’t be winning. As governed society of, for and by the people it all starts in the voting booth which determines the end results that we can see in our quality of life, paychecks, job opportunities or the lack there of, hope or the lack of hope, a united people or the creation of more division, economic prosperity or the doom and gloom we presently face — need I say more.
ONE DAY it will sink in that God is in this tooooo and that it is only right that all citizens are treated equally and all citizens have a voice in the CNMI because success, unity, harmony and prosperity have no demarcation line of color or race — we will all find prosperity together or not at all. In fact, the diversity of the CNMI is one of our biggest attributes if locals can learn to exploit and use this diversity for an advantage instead of using the diversity to create issues of racism, discrimination and controversy. The devil has won toooo many battles lately and we the people and our leaders must work to change the phenomena. The CNMI’s altitude will definitely be determined by our attitude and that’s pure wisdom!
