Some people lust for power while others feel tainted by it, as if it were something venal or suspect.
PSS wants power to control its business operations. On the other hand the government wants to impose its power on PSS.
Another word for power is regulations. I’m not advocating that you impose your power on people, but the truth is real power is shared in order to have the ultimate power to have the ability to produce the results you want the most, and create values for others, for you and the people you care about.
Real power is the ability to define human needs.
A government cannot reach its goals if one department is going in one direction and another is going in another.
A successful government needs to have all its department heads in sync with each other to properly reach their goals and be on the pathway to success for our economic recovery.
Just because you have the money and you are the boss of PSS doesn’t mean we are going to recover from this bad economy. An effective leader will have to gather department heads together to hammer out their joint or shared decisions for the sake of our youth’s education.
Fighting over money is not the answer. The solution to this problem is to come together as one government and figure out what’s the best situation for our education and not fight over power or money.
I mean, what kind of message are we sending our students? That it’s okay to fight in our government to get what we want?
This is ridiculous.
More power to CNMI students or more power to self-interest groups?
So who is telling the truth? Please let’s be civil here and be respectful to each other.
