Letter to the Editor: Throw them out

What about our men in the Senate or in the House? What have they done to fight for us the people of the CNMI?

It’s a shame that our male leaders didn’t even defend our CNMI Retirement Fund when the governor stopped payments.

All of them were protecting their own  side pocket interests and side pocket investors and they could care less about our people and retirees.

In other words they don’t have the guts to stand up and fight for us the people who gave them their jobs so it’s fitting that come Nov. 7 we throw them out of office and elect new leaders who who will help our people and our islands.

The fact that Tina stood by her principles and her firm belief to demand accountability and transparency and hold the governor responsible is a sweet victory for the CNMI people.

To flip-flop on your words is not standing firmly by your own principles and this can raise questions about your record.

Tina’s pursuit of what she believes is right for our suffering people is justice for our people.

On Nov. 7, 2009 we the people should replace the bad leaders with good leaders and let’s pray and hope that there will be a lot of lawmakers like Tina to bring change.

Tina, thank you — you’re the man.
