Letter to the Editor: Time for change

As for Saipan, change will come  if the public demands that all secrecy of doing business is not in their interest and they should demand it from their own elected attorney general if they wish to have one.

Here in our state of Oregon we vote for our own AG to keep a watchful eye on our government budget. As for our local press, they absolutely go after  corrupt leaders. Then we the people sign petitions and boot any corrupt leader out of office. We the people can remove a leader who created misconduct in our state of Oregon with or without the help of our attorney general, but it comes with the needed 2/3 vote on our public petition. And guess what. We always win.

My point is  transparency and accountability are what we the people demand from our elected officials.

No matter how powerful you are as an elected leader if the publics demand an answer you better pray to the Almighty that you have all the answers because we will boot you out of office if you lie to us, the people.

We are the voters and we have the power to throw you out of your office because your office is of the people, for the people and by the people.

We give you the job so you don’t mess around with the voters.

That’s the truth and that is justice.
