It added that U.S. District Judge Michael Seabright issued a temporary restraining order against the state, requiring them to continue providing medical care for Micronesians until a decision on the case is made.
The Advertiser also reported that Hawaii Gov. Linda Smith and Human Services Director Lillian Koller pledged these FAS community members would not be “left in a lurch.”
Koller now says that Hawaii can be reimbursed by federal funds for paying for dialysis as an emergency service, the report stated.
It appears we are moving in the right direction. Hopefully this type of cut will enver impact any patient here in the CNMI.
