I strongly feel that the allegations brought forward hinder my ability to campaign. Although I feel that my brother may have not done anything wrong, the mere fact that these allegations are being discussed is troublesome for me since I have been a strong advocate of clean and honest government.
I want the Senate committee chaired by Sen. Jude U. Hofschneider to advise me if indeed these allegations have been cleared by Department of Public Lands or not. Once we clear these issues I can continue on with out plan to hold a campaign on Saipan so that our voters may have the opportunity to learn of our good plans for the commonwealth before Election Day.
Again, I apologize to my supporters and the general public for this setback and I continue to seek your support and prayers.
