CUC is in a very serious lack of confidence problem with the consumers they are supposed to serve. They say a lot of words but tell you nothing while doing it. They say they are fixing the problems of this past typhoon but where is the proof? Ask the people and almost half polled by the newspaper say they need power and water. What has CUC said so far? We have fixed the feeder to the Hospital and are working on bringing all the feeder lines back to operation.
I asked why are none of the sublines off of the feeder lines are not being fixed, and they danced around saying they need inspection and manpower and the like but nothing about what they were doing. So I asked about Rosa Street. The reply was which part of Rosa Street — the part that is toward Garapan or the part toward the south? I replied: You do not know the island well if you ask this question,
Rosa Street is about 400 yards long from Middle Road (The Torres Brothers Building) to Beach Road. It is a straight road that can be seen from end to end if you stand at one end.
As you can see my confidence had slipped greatly when such a small street could not be identified properly. I was then told I most likely had missed the inspectors coming down the street. Like most of you I am working sun up to sunset to clean and repair my home. I am there all day long and no CUC vehicle has come down this road. So CUC makes up stories on how much they are doing and how hard they are working (I know the crews are busting their humps but the administration is just blowing smoke) and there is no proof of their action.
Also I am happy they keep the hospital with power and water but they have a federal generator so are not handicapped by not having CUC power. But they tell a wonderful story about how well they are serving the community.
For the crews: Keep up the good work. I wish your administration would stop lying and making up stories so your great work would shine.
