KUDOS to Commissioner of Education Dr. Alfred Ada and the PSS Federal Programs Manager Tim Thornburg for bringing the PSS senior staff to Tinian for an educational retreat this week.
Although Tinian no longer has a luxurious hotel, the visitors from Saipan and Rota were able to see our lovely island and learn a little bit about Tinian’s history and unique culture, while reviewing their accomplishments over the last school year and preparing for SY 2022-23.
After three years of disaster —Super Typhoon Yutu followed by the Covid pandemic — PSS is ready for a “normal” school year, again. Surviving these three years required maximum patience and dedication from all teachers and administrators, each of whom deserves a letter of commendation in their files. With support from the parents and the community, next school year stands to be a record breaking year for the CNMI PSS.
We wish the best to all our educators.
