On March 4, 2023, Mount Carmel School student Chealzka Navarro, under the guidance of Ms. Jihye Yun from Yonsei Academy, won gold at the 2023 Tumon Bay Music Festival. Chealzka performed “Rock Prelude No.3” by Christopher Norton in the Solo & Small Ensemble division, competing against 18 other piano finalists.
