The Lady Diann Torres Foundation took part in the CNMI Disabilities Network Partners’ “Disable the Label” campaign to spread disabilities awareness and acceptance through a “celebrity bagging” event at all Joeten stores on Saturday. At Joeten Garapan, the Lady Diann Torres Foundation enjoyed spreading awareness with self-advocates from the Center for Living Independently. A part of LDTF’s mission is to provide access to advancement and assistance programs to individuals with disabilities in the CNMI. LDTF advocates for individuals with disabilities by hosting annual events, such as the Easter Eggventure Hunt and the CNMI disABILITY Sports Fest. Despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, LDTF continues to advocate for more awareness and acceptance of individuals with disabilities.
