GIG, revamped and renovated, reopened on Saturday under new management and with a new theme.
In an interview, GIG General Manager Chris Esteves said they want to give their patrons a different kind of experience.
“We want the community to experience what it is like to be in a club in Las Vegas,” he added. “Last night’s ‘soft opening’ was very humbling for me. There were so many great people making this vision come to life. I think when you…give [people] confidence great things can happen.”
He said GIG aims to set a new standard of night life in the CNMI. “This opening night turnout showed exactly that,” he added.
For starters, GIG now has an outdoor oasis with a water fountain and strategically placed greenery.
“Very few places in the heart of Garapan can offer amazing customer service, drinks, ambiance and a food truck with modern street food from Cristianos Kitchen,” Esteves said. “We hope to have an even bigger turnout for the grand opening” whose date will be announced soon.
In addition, GIG has an Egyptian-themed bar and club. Servers are dressed in elegant attires with Cleopatra-like accessories.
Inside, the music is upbeat for those who want to dance the night away while the VIP rooms provide privacy to those who just want to hang out.
Esteves said at least 500 guests showed up for the “soft opening” on Saturday.
He expects the number to go up as more tourists visit the island.
