(Press Release) — The topic for discussion on Marianas Agupa’ Talk Show on July 16, 2022 at 10 a.m. is “Unu na påtti gi istorian I San Kattan na Islas Marianas sigun gi lepblu siha ni tinigi’ Juan N. Babauta” — a piece of history based on the books by former Gov. Juan N. Babauta.

The presentation will be in Chamorro followed by a Q&A call-in, chat, from the public and via social media.
The public is also encouraged to participate in a survey after the talk show to help improve it and identify future shows and cultural experts. Details about the survey will be provided during the talk show and posted on Marianas Agupa’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

The Chamorro cultural talk show is a project of the Inetnun Kutturan Natibun Marianas/Kkoor Aramasal Marianas, a non-profit organization in the CNMI.
Its president, Isidoro T. Cabrera, said they aim to celebrate and recognize local cultural experts and encourage public interactions in humanities-related topics such as culture, tradition, history, language, traditional healing practices, local names of places in the CNMI, music, among other topics.
This project is supported in part, by the Northern Marianas Humanities Council, a non-profit, private corporation funded in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of the American Rescue Plan and the NEH Sustaining the Humanities through the American Rescue Plan initiative.
