No relationship has been found between eating peanuts or chocolates unless you are allergic to them, according to Dr. DeLinda Wills, a general surgeon and member of International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine.
Pimples are skin inflammations that occur when the blackheads or whiteheads become infected or clogged, and when the pimple breakout happens often, it is already considered acne.
There are many causes of pimples, Wills said, and the most common cause is the elevation of hormonal levels during the menstrual cycle in women, and among teenagers during puberty.
When you wake up and see a huge pimple on your face in the mirror, your first action is to touch it and attempt to squeeze it.
“The first rule when you have a pimple is to keep your hands off, and avoid touching it,” Wills said.
If you attempt to squeeze and extract the sedum from your pimple, this could lead to infection and scarring because increased friction on your pimple will cause it to close up the more.
This advice is actually easier said than done. Have you noticed that when you have a pimple on your face, head, or back, you tend to touch it every other few minutes until it gets bigger and angrier-looking?
Some people especially women learned to leave the pimples alone and wait until they go away, but Wills said you cannot wait too long.
“Pimples should be treated immediately because if you leave them too long, they may develop to severe acne,” Wills said.
When the pimple erupts, it can leave deep scars on your face, something no one wants to have.
Wills said the best way to maintain a good complexion is to prevent pimples before they occur.
“Address the problem before it exists and this can be done by deep cleansing, exfoliating, and treating — three power words that help maintain a clear face,” Wills said.
The easier it is for your skin to breathe, the fewer problems you will have. It takes a lot of practice to maintain a skin regimen every morning and evening but it pays in the long run.
