THE holiday season is now in full swing in the Marianas. Island residents are taking their kids to Christmas light villages, getting their gift shopping done, and making plans to get together with family in the coming weeks.

Let’s start at the fiesta table. One of the best parts of the holiday season is all the time family spends together. And in the CNMI, when we’re together, we’re eating.
Herman’s Modern Bakery
Herman’s Modern Bakery has combo packages ready to go. Package 1 features an 18/20-lb smoked ham, 20/22-lb roast turkey, 2 lbs of stuffing, 4 lbs of red rice, 16 oz of gravy, and a dozen dinner rolls for $235. Package 2 is $135 and comes with 10/12 lbs of bone-in picnic ham, 12/14 lbs roast turkey, 2 lbs of stuffing, 4 lbs of red rice, 16 oz of gravy, and a dozen dinner rolls.
On the a la carte menu, 4 lbs of lechon kawali is $36, 1 pan of pork Chamorro-style sukiyaki is $58, 4 lbs of red rice is $18, and 2 lbs of stuffing is $8.
A 10/12-lb picnic ham is $63 if you order it a la carte, while 9/11 lbs of prime rib will cost $280. Aiko’s Deli
Get your holiday party catered this Christmas by Aiko’s Deli.
Jumbo Set A is a $229.95 package that features a 20/22-lb turkey with stuffing and gravy, a 26/29-lb smoked glazed ham, a 1 9-inch cherry pie, a 9-inch custard pie, two 16-oz banana bread, and 4 lbs of red rice.
Set B is a 26/29-lb smoked glazed ham with a 9-inch custard pie and 16-oz banana bread for $145.95. And Set C is an 11/13-lb glazed picnic ham, 9-inch custard pie, and 16-oz banana bread for $70.95.
Need a roast pig? Aiko’s has that covered. A 50/60-lb order is $349.95 and is available while supplies last.
Aiko’s also has numerous side orders: broccoli crab salad, lantiyas, bistek, meatballs and gravy, and more.

Great Harvest
Don’t forget to check out Great Harvest Bread Co. Saipan if you need catering as well.
They have a $99 package that comes with one 10/14-lb turkey, cranberry sauce, gravy, and stuffing. You can order a honey-glazed, 8/10-lb ham with a side of glaze for $68. For $48 each, Great Harvest also has tray orders of shrimp linguine, creamy chicken pasta, or lasagna; all orders include garlic toast.
Or you can let Great Harvest take care of the entire dinner! Get a 10/14-lb whole turkey with stuffing, one 7/10-lb glazed ham, one side each of honey glazed sauce, cranberry sauce, and gravy, one Yard Bird salad half-tray order, a dozen dinner rolls, and your choice of pie for $210.

Angry Penne
But maybe you don’t need to feed an entire army of people on Christmas. Maybe you just want to take a special someone out for a more intimate Christmas dinner date. Check out Angry Penne, which has crafted a special Christmas menu.
For $85 per customer, the meal includes a deconstructed French onion soup; risotto tricolor, which features parmigiano, basil pesto, prawn bisque and pan-seared scallops; veggie-wrapped salmon; duck involtino, which is served with a mushroom-asparagus farce and cranberry demi-glace; apple a la mode; and “Inside Out Candy Bar,” which is homemade nougat, peppermint chocolate ganache, salted caramel, and toasted nuts. They also have a selection of special cocktails.

If you need gifts or holiday items, Joeten will be running its 12 Days of Christmas sales event from December 14 to 25. Each day of the event will feature a new item with a promo price.
