Prutehi Litekyan: Save Ritidian and UOG Comm Society to host film series events

HAGÅTÑA (PLSR) — Prutehi Litekyan: Save Ritidian, in collaboration with the University of Guam Communication Society, presents the Fanohge Film Series, a series of free screenings to encourage community dialogue, learning, and reflection around several important issues. The series is hosted on campus at the University of Guam and all screenings are free and open to the public.  The series covers topics such as environmental justice, racism, colonialism, human rights, and other social issues through the power of visual storytelling including documentaries, dramatic films, animation, news stories, and more.

The third and fourth second events in the series focus of different themes including the experiences of children from Palestine and PFAS contamination and Environmental Justice. The events are hosted at the UOG College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Lecture Hall.

“We are excited to present films and media that our community might not have access to.  We want to encourage people to think and talk about these issues both on campus and in our community,” said Kyra Perez, student and president of UOG Comm Society.
