Ron Catap lead vocalist and guitar player, J.R Cadua base and guitar player, Ralph Kileleman, plays the ukelele and guitar and J.C Cadua, 10 year-old drummer, are members of the local band that is riding the scene with much musical finesse.
These four young guys of Real Chill developed their talent at a really young age, when they were still attending elementary school. Ron Catap, a student from Marianas High School, developed his talent when he was still in the fourth grade.”I learned how to play the guitar on my own and I love playing music because it keeps me relaxed and relieves some of the problems and challenges I’m facing through,” said Catap.The Real Chill band started performing in late November of 2007 and has been performing at Cultural Days, the 2007 Carnival, 2008 Carnival, Porky’s Bar, Saipan Grand Hotel, Fiesta Resort and the Flame Tree Festival.“Music is inspiring to us its one way we can express our thoughts without being criticized, says Catap.These four young talented men are an example of talent and love for music, as well as playing good music and serving as role models to many kids who watch them perform. Real Chill will be performing at this year’s Flame Arts Festival as well as the Taste of the Marianas in May.
