Autism Society conference

The conference aims to help inform the community about autism and issues surrounding it locally, nationally and internationally.

A participants list with contact information will be compiled to help build a network in the CNMI for parents and others who want to access services or information pertaining to autism.

KagHS Junior Night

(KagHS) — Kagman High School’s Junior Night that was scheduled for Tuesday, April 13, has been cancelled until further notice.

Philippine consulate open on weekends, holidays

IN response to numerous requests from the Filipino community, the Philippine Consulate General in Saipan will be open for overseas absentee voting from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during Saturdays, Sundays and holidays during the election period, a media release stated.

The consulate will be open every day for overseas absentee voting until the end of the election period on May 10.  During regular weekdays, the voting period will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There were 36 ballots cast during the opening day on Saturday and more than 100 registered absentee voters obtained their ballot packages.

SSHS report card

(SSHS) — Parents/legal guardians of Saipan Southern High School students are reminded that the term 3 report card is scheduled to be picked up on Thursday, April 15, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the counseling office.

All students will be released at 12:50 noon.

Memorial Day

(Military/Veterans Affairs) — The 2010 Memorial Day Committee meets every Tuesday at 9 a.m., at the Office of Military/Veterans Affairs,  Capital Hill Building 1364.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

This year’s Memorial Day will be commemorated on May 31.
