Meet your policy maker

THE CNMI Council on Developmental Disabilities will sponsor a forum titled “Meet Your Policy Maker” which will be held on Friday, March 26, at the Saipan World Resort from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The panelists are members from the Saipan legislative delegation.

The purpose of the forum is for individuals with disabilities to educate CNMI policymakers regarding disability issues in the CNMI.  This forum will give individuals with disabilities and their family members an opportunity to provide their input on needs of persons with disabilities in the CNMI in the areas of education, transportation, and housing.

Interested individuals requesting special accommodations are asked to notify the CNMI Council on Developmental Disabilities at least three days in advance of their special accommodations needs.

Maritime safety and security committee meeting

ALL Marianas Island Area Contingency Planning and Area Maritime Security Committee members, port safety and security stakeholders, and the general public are invited to attend the committee meeting this Thursday, March 25, 8-12 noon in the Pacific Islands’ Club Napu room.

The meeting will bring together subject matter experts from the private sector and federal, state, and local agencies that support a safe and secure maritime environment.

This committee meeting is required at least annually by Code of Federal Regulation  103.300.  Please limit attendance to no more than two representatives from each business or agency division and contact Paul Plunkett of the U.S. Coast Guard at 236-2976 to confirm your attendance and for more information.
