Early that morning, the victims awoke to discover their laptops missing. The victims checked the house and noticed they were burglarized. Two laptops were stolen along with a digital camera. The point of entry was through a window.
The items stolen include the following:
1. Silver Apple Macbook laptop computer.
2. Silver Toshiba Tecra Laptop Computer
3. Black Panasonic Lumix Digital Camera
4. Black Purse containing a female’s wallet, identification cards and keys.
Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. The victims of this crime are offering an additional reward of $1,000 for the return of each laptop; a $200 reward for the digital camera; and a $100 reward for the purse.

(KagES) — April 1-30 is the open registration period for SY 2010-2011 for new enrollees from kindergarten to 5th grade students of Kagman Elementary School.
Parents and guardians must provide the following documents:
1) Child’s birth certificate
2) Health certificate (clearance from CHC)
3) Health insurance or accident insurance
4) Map of residence
Kagman school zone: Kagman 1, 2, 3, 4, Papago, and south of Asteo area.
If your child attended other school, prior to registering at Kagman Elementary School, parents or guardians must provide child’s withdrawal form from the last school attended, provided with other academic records, such report cards.
Re-registration for all on-going or current students also begins for kindergarten to 5th grade students.
Registration forms will be provided to all on-going students by their homeroom teachers.
Parents and guardians are kindly asked to assist your child in completing the registration form and return it to your child’s homeroom teacher.
• April 11-14 – Accreditation WASC team visit begins with parents on April 11 at 5 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Parents and guardians are invited to join us in this important event. These Accreditation WASC team will be at the school site from April 12, 13 and 14.
• On April 14 at 3 p.m. the WASC visiting team will report to all staff and stakeholders.
• April 21 – 3rd quarter report card distribution from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the students respective homeroom classroom. Students will be released on early dismissal at 12 noon.
Parents and guardians are highly encouraged to make the time and meet with your child’s homeroom teacher in order to be informed about your child’s 3rd quarter report card progress.
Your parental involvement in your child’s academics in school will also have a positive impact on his or her success during this school year 2009-2010.
Guam’s bark park marks one year
(GAIN) — Your four-legged friends have something to be excited about this Sunday as Bark at the Park celebrates its first anniversary.
Bark at the Park is a monthly event by Guam Animals In Need, every second Sunday of the month, to encourage members of the community to get out and socialize with their dogs.
On Sunday, GAIN marks the one year anniversary of this event with food, fun and free gifts for new GAIN members and attendees.
The public is invited to join the festivities from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. behind the Ypao Amphitheater.
Artificial swine insemination workshop on Tinian
(NMC-CREES) — Northern Marianas College Cooperative Research Extension and Education Services is inviting the public to a workshop aimed at increasing awareness of artificial insemination.The workshop will start today, April 9, and will continue on to the 10th at the NMC Tinian campus from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in room F.
The guest speakers are Dr. Allan Sabaldica, an animal scientist, and Capt. Ernest Torres, a certified cattle and swine artificial insemination technician.

Military to conduct training on Farallon De Mendenilla
(EMO) — The U.S. military will conduct training on Farallon De Mendenilla from Monday to Friday, April 12 to 16, from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Due to the danger imposed by this activity, Gov. Benigno R. Fitial is advising the general public, especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators, to stay away from this area during the time and dates indicated.

Autism Awareness Walk
APRIL is Autism Awareness month in the CNMI and throughout the United States.
On Sunday, April 11, at 3 p.m. at the Last Command Post in Marpi, there will be an Autism Awareness Walk.
Participants will walk 1.5 miles north and then return to the starting point at the Last Command Post. Light refreshments will be available for all participants.

Red flag at 6 Saipan sites
(DEQ) — The Division of Environmental Quality says water samples collected from Diamond Hotel, Comm. School Beach, CK District #4 Drainage, Chalan Piao Beach, Hopwood School Beach and San Antonio Beach contained excessive concentrations of fecal indicator bacteria that exceeded the CNMI’s marine water quality standards.
DEQ has given these locations a red flag and advises the public not to fish or swim within 300 feet of these locations for the next 48 hours or until otherwise notified.
7th Annual Sengebau Poetry Competition set for Tuesday
(NMI Humanities Council) —The public is invited to attend the Seventh Annual Valentine Sengebau Poetry Competition to be held at the Visitors Center Theater, American Memorial Park, on Tuesday evening, April 13, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
This event, sponsored annually by the NMI Council for the Humanities, honors the late Valentine Sengebau, a long-time Palauan resident of the commonwealth and well-known poet. It is a part of the council’s efforts to build local literary capabilities among junior and senior high school students in the commonwealth.
According to council executive director, Scott Russell, schools from Saipan, Tinian and Rota have selected poets to compete in a junior division (7th-8th grades) and senior division (9th-12th grades).
Competitors will address themes of culture, identity and change in the islands in a variety of styles including rhymed or free verse, sonnet or ode. Poets will be judged on two criteria: content and recital quality.
Poetry content will be judged by Robert Hunter, Galvin S. Deleon Guerrero and Catherine P. Anderson. The recitals will be scored by Laila Boyer, Leo Goode, and Angel Hocog.
