would like to inform the general public that a power outage is scheduled for three laterals in Feeder 4, second partial on Saturday, Aug. 7.
The power outage for these laterals will commence at 7:30 a.m., and power will be restored at 10:30 a.m., Gary P. Camacho, CUC power division manager said.
He said the CUC linemen will be conducting repairs and maintenance to the electrical circuit in the Kagman homestead area.
“This is part of an ongoing maintenance program that will involve the replacement of 40 defective pole top pins and 40 defective insulators,” he said.
He said inspections will be conducted on other pole hardware such as cross arms, saddle pins, cutouts, brackets, guy wires and lighting arrestors.
These maintenance activities along with others to be announced are part of CUC’s efforts to minimize storm disruptions as the islands enter the typhoon season, he said.
Because of the extreme danger in working on energized lines, the power outage is necessary to ensure safety to the line crews.
Affected areas:
Feeder 4, Second Partial Laterals (7:30 through 10:30 a.m.)
These streets in the Kagman 3 area will be affected:
Gaogao Dr., Nonnak Ave. and Chute Ct.
CUC apologizes for any inconvenience this power interruption may have on the community and their consumers
and will continue to work diligently to minimize future interruptions, Camacho said.
