McDonald’s to hold dance crew contest

The heat is on as McDonald’s Saipan opens another competition designed not only to entertain the community but to dig out and expose the dancing skills and talents of the residents.

Egged on by the unexpected success of the first singing competition for children and teens last year, McDonald’s Saipan marketing officer Ana Olaes said that they could not help but come up with another event to keep everyone’s adrenaline flowing, this time the Best Dance Crew Competition.

She said that McDonald’s Saipan’s owner and president Joe Ayuyu always likes to see everybody, particularly the youth involved in rewarding activities.

Olaes said that this is the chance for the various dance groups to get an exposure to boost their talents.

“We encourage everyone who can dance to form a group of at least five members and start practicing your dance moves now. You still have three weeks up to the first elimination day,” Olaes said.

As incentive, attractive prizes are at stake for the winners who will make it through the finals day of competition on March 20, 2010.

The group who grabs the grand prize will take home $500. The second and the third placers will win $300 and $200. Three groups will be chosen on each of the elimination rounds set for March 6 and 13 to compete on the finals.

Tone up those muscles, get up and free the dancer in you! Visit the main office of McDonald’s Saipan in Chalan Pale Arnold Road from Feb. 17 to 26, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Anniversary promo

As a way of giving back to the community for the support they got for the past 17 years, McDonald’s Saipan will be sharing their blessings by giving away fantastic prizes for winners in a raffle draw that will be held during the Best Dance Crew Competition on March 20.

Beginning Feb. 15 to March 20, every $15 worth of food purchase on a single transaction will entitle a customer to one raffle ticket.

“McDonald’s Saipan is giving away a roundtrip ticket for two to Manila for the grand prize winner for the 17th anniversary raffle draw,” Olaes said.

Second and third prize winners will win a laptop computer and a digital camera. 10 winners will also win consolation prizes of McDonald’s gift certificates worth $25 each.

Olaes extends her thanks on behalf of McDonald’s Saipan for the support and continued patronage they got from the community for the past 17 years.
