Palms Resort’s Kaenju Restaurant opens Sunday brunch

The launching of the Sunday Brunch at the Kaenju Restaurant of the Palms Resort Saipan yesterday drew raves from satisfied customers who were given a wide selection of the island’s best.

While your choices are still grilling, the heavenly aroma fills the air as the juices of fresh sea foods, meat, or vegetables permeate the air and make your mouth water in anticipation.

Choices include fresh local vegetables, beef or chicken burger, sausage, choice chicken cuts, tenderloin steak, sirloin, shrimps, oyster, mussels, scallops, squid, and fish. Sauces and dips are available for the grilled seafood, steaks and vegetables.

Start your lunch with a choice from the Chef’s special appetizers—sushi, smoked salmon, macaroni, chicken salad among others, and later, give in to the tempting array of desserts to complete your meal.

At the Sunday Brunch, customers are pampered not only by the friendly chefs but by the top executives of the hotel’s food and beverage department.

Palms Resort Saipan executive chef David Jones said that they decided to add something new for their customers in addition to the existing Sunday Brunch at the hotel’s Minami Restaurant.

“We want variation and something new and we are glad to be the only establishment who is serving Teppanyaki Sunday Brunch in the island,” Jones said.

“It’s wonderful to eat lunch grilled the way you want it, and done right in front of you,” Jones said.

Jones said that the Sunday Brunch will be offered at the Teppanyaki every last Sunday of the month.

Restaurant manager Arthur Saw said that at $33 per person (20 percent discount for locals) customers can choose from a wide variety of an eat-all-you-can variety of Teppanyaki delicacy cooked to perfection, steak and seafood Teppan-Yaki syle, and free-flowing wine or other beverages.

“After lunch, customers can retire for a leisurely coffee or a scoop of their favorite ice cream at Kaenju’s coffee shop, all still part of the brunch,” Saw said.

Palms Resort Saipan Executive Sous Chef Habib Akbar said that the Sunday Brunch is just another addition to the regular Teppanyaki dinner served at the Kaenju Restaurant every day.

“With us, you are assured of a variation of fresh foods to choose from,” Akbar said.

“We hope to see you in the next Teppanyaki Sunday Brunch at Kaenju Restaurant,” he said.

Kaenju Restaurant is open 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays to Sundays. For more information please call (670)322-3311.
