PIC Saipan scholarship deadline this week

Application forms are available at NMC’s Financial Aid Office, or can be downloaded  www.nmcnet.edu.

The scholarship will  provide seven NMC students $500 a semester for up to three semesters.

The scholarships are based on merit and financial need and will be awarded to the recipient based on the candidate’s community involvement, academic background, letters of recommendation, and a written essay. An interview may also be required.

Cancer board meeting

(CCA) — The Commonwealth Cancer Association  board of directors will meet on Tuesday, June 29, starting at 2 p.m. in  the Department of Public Health, secretary’s conference room #2.

The agenda will include a presentation from University of Guam researchers on a betelnut and oral cancer pilot study to be conducted in the CNM, submittal of the final 2010 Marianas March Against Cancer Committee Report, discussion of an upcoming Pacific Center for Excellence in Elimination of Disparities grant funding opportunity, and reports from board committees and the program manager.

Chacha school advisory

(COJHS) — Chacha Oceanview Junior high school will be distributing 4th quarter report cards and promotional certificates on Tuesday, June 29, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the administration office.
