(Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.) — As of March 4, 2022, there were 10 individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19:
One was unvaccinated, eight were vaccinated and one partially vaccinated.
One of 10 was on a ventilator.
CHCC on Friday evening said 77 additional individuals had been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 9,999 cases since March 26, 2020. Some duplicates have been deleted.
Of the 77 cases identified on March 3, 2022:
13 were identified on Tinian and 12 on Rota.
A total of 71 Covid-19 vaccine shots were administered on March 4, 2022. Of the eligible population, 57.3% have received an additional dose. The vaccination rate is calculated using the 2020 Census population estimates for the CNMI and includes the eligible 5-year-olds and older population.
The vaccination statuses of the 77 new cases identified are pending verification.
A total of 314 Covid-19 tests were conducted on March 3, 2022:
228 via Community-Based Testing;
25 at Koblerville Covid-19 Community Center;
41 at Tinian Health Center; and
20 at Rota Health Center.

Of the total cases identified, as of March 3, 2022, there were 9,362 recoveries and 607 active cases.
9,325 of the cases were identified via community testing and 674 through travel testing.
Since March 2020, there have been 30 Covid-19-related deaths in the CNMI.
