The 729 shoes will be given to students of 13 schools namely Aimeliik Elementary School, Airai Elementary School, Angaur Elementary School, Kayangel Elementary School, Melekeok Elementary School, Ngaraard Elementary School, Ngerchelong Elementary School, Ngardmau Elementary School, Ngeremlengui Elementary School, Ngchesar Elementary School, Ngiwal Elementary School, Peleliu Elementary School and Ibobang Elementary School.
The shoes were donated by Apolonia Ngirchechol of Palau Automotive Company and Fan Sun Ye of Palau Dynamic Securities and Holding Inc.The shoes were received by MOE Chief of School Management, Sinton Soalablai.The donors said they thought of donating cash at first but decided to donate something that can be useful to the students.Soalablai thanked the good samaritans for their generosity and for thinking about the children.He said the donations was very timely especially to some parents who are still trying to provide their chidren with new shoes.
