2 sought for USPS break-ins

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — The U.S. Postal Inspection Service needs help identifying two men who were caught on camera breaking into postal boxes.

According to a release from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the break-ins occurred at the Tamuning Post office on Oct. 28 and Nov. 10.

Still photographs from surveillance footage at the post office depict two men removing items from postal boxes in what appear to be two separate incidents.

The man depicted in the Nov. 10 incident as seen in the footage appeared to have a slim build and was wearing a dark hoodie jacket with white lettering, a black shirt and dark shorts. His face was covered with a face mask and he was carrying a backpack.

The man depicted in the Oct. 28 incident was wearing a dark hat, a white T-shirt, dark shorts and flip-flops. The footage shows the man had a heavier build than the previous suspect and also had a tattoo on his right forearm.

Mail theft is a federal felony which carries a sentence of up to five years imprisonment per count, according to the release.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
