28 participants from Taiwan-Palau Farmers Association and 11 states attended a workshop

The workshop organizer Richard C. Hung said that the activity was aimed at promoting the use of waste from the farm into compost as this can reduce pollution to the environment and reduce crops production cost.

The workshop was divided in two sections. The first section is soil and fertilizer management. Richard explained the physical structure and chemical contents of soil, and how to use these characters to determine whether soil is suitable for culturing crop or no.The second section is compost making. TTM use grass cut from compact road by the Aimeliik state government and residue from TTM farm mixing with fish heads to make compost. Richard urged the farmers to use resources in environment and not just throw them away.
