Among the candidates are Stephaliza G. “Baisach” Ngirameong, Ellender Ngirameketti, Cisco Melaitau,Hideki Takataro, Azaria “Asa” Timarong, Romeo Teliu, Happy Ngirakesau,Manasseh “Nash” Temol, Russel Masayos, Joshua Darrow, Francis “Titich” Termeteet, Margie Bechab and Alice Pangelinan.
PEC Election Officer III Festus Ringang, said among the 13 candidates only seven will be elected to occupy the seats in the Kelulul a Kiuluul.
On July 16, was the deadline for filing of the nominating petition while on July 21 is the deadline for the registration of new voters.
Meanwhile, Aug.3 is the deadline for the absentee voters’ request to vote and Aug. 17 is the deadline of the election office to receive absentee voting ballots.
Ringang added that there is only one proper box to be placed during the election. This will be put up in Ngiwal State office.
The election time will start at 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Ngiwal State has 695 registered voters as of this time.. However this would be increased after the registration of new voters will be closed on Wednesday.
The elected legislators have a period of two year terms in office.
