(Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.) — As of March 22, 2022, there were seven individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19.
CHCC also reported Tuesday evening that 43 additional individuals had been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 10,777 cases since March 28, 2020.
Of the 43 cases identified on March 21, 2022, seven were on Tinian.
A total of 44 Covid-19 vaccine shots were administered on March 22, 2022. Of the eligible population, 59.2% have received an additional dose. The vaccination rate is calculated using the 2020 Census population estimates for the CNMI and includes the eligible 5-year-olds and older population.
The vaccination statuses of the 43 new cases identified are pending verification.
A total of 231 Covid-19 tests were conducted on March 21, 2022:
214 via Community-Based Testing;
15 at Koblerville Covid-19 Community Center; and
2 at Rota Health Center.

Of the total cases identified, as of March 21, 2022, there were 10,598 recoveries and 148 active cases.
Of the cases, 9,998 were identified via community testing and 779 through travel testing.
Since March 2020, there have been 31 Covid-19-related deaths in the CNMI.
