AKRHO to conduct beach cleanup

AS part of their commitment to help clean up the environment and encourage community members to a do the same, the Alpha Kappa Rho or AKRHO International Humanitarian Service Fraternity Saipan chapter will conduct a cleanup at their adopted beach at the back of Aquarius Beach Tower in Chalan Kanoa on Sunday.

They will remove trash from the beach area and trim overgrown vegetation and tree branches.

“The island is our second home. We are committed in making a contribution toward positive change through helping government agencies with their programs such as the Saipan Mayor’s Office’s Adopt-a-Place program,” AKRHO said.

AKRHO’s other community activities include a feeding program for the annual Good Friday trek to Tapochao, scholarship grants and educational assistance, sports and recreational events, and helping those who are sick and in need.

AKRHO was established in the Philippines in 1973 and is a registered international humanitarian service fraternity and sorority whose members are involved in humanitarian projects and service to others.

AKRHO currently has 3 million members in the Philippines and all over the world.
