Police investigation showed at around 9 p.m. complainant Yumi Sugawara, female and a Japanese national called the police after she discovered that her apartment was burglarized and her laptop was missing.
Further police probe disclosed that the suspect entered the apartment by destroying a cardboard covering the apartment’s window and carted away the laptop worth $1,200.
The incident happened while the victim was offisland.
The case is still under investigation.
On the same day, another incident of grand larceny was reported in Ngchesar State.
Based on the report, Lorenzo Mekreous called the police and reported that his cell phone hanging on the wall of the kitchen door was stolen by unidentified suspect.
According to the victim he went to the school summer house, few yards away from his home and he left his cell phone at the kitchen. When he returned home he noticed that his cell phone was missing.
He believed that it is stolen by some kids playing around his house.
The case is pending for further police investigation.
