Bangladesh Association clean Koror area

According to Mohi Uddin, BA president, members of the association collected trash from the Japan-Palau Friendship Bridge (JPFB) to the front of the Palau Visitors Bureau office.

“We managed to collect at least 400 pounds of trash,” he said. “Most of it was picked along the main road and in front of the public buildings that line he main road.”Uddin said that BA wants to give back to Palau.  However, most of BA members work throughout most of the week except Sunday and are scattered throughout the states of Palau.“We would like to do more community services for Palau,” Uddin said. “Transportation is an issue for some of our members, but when opportunity permits, we will do the best we can.”About 25 members of the BA were able in the trash collection and clean-up activity last Sunday.Uddin added that along the way of the clean up, there were Palauans who took time to assist the BA members.“At the bridge, an off-duty police officer helped collect trash,” Uddin said. “I am sure he would gone with us all the way, but it was his day with his family.  We are very grateful for his and other peoples’ help last Sunday.”The group took a detour from the main road to pick trash from Asahi Baseball Field and the Koror State Office.
