ON Feb. 24, 2023, the Bayani or Heroes Association donated $2,400 to seven pediatric cancer patients of the National Children’s Hospital in the Philippines as beneficiaries of the “Gandang Pinay” beauty pageant for a cause held Feb. 11, 2023, at Saipan World Resort.
“The pageant was a huge success, and it’s time to give back to the community,” Bayani President Annamae Adaza said.
“We are thankful for the opportunity to help financially those children. And of course we are grateful to our 13 lovely candidates their supportive parents, donors, sponsors, and volunteers,” she added. The pageant was choreographed and directed by Ernie Molina.
The beneficiaries were Mark Kevin Jay Malapute, John Bryan Bagioso, Aaron Binas, Genesis Obeja, Junrey Orsal, Maria Jossa Putonia, and Sophia Grace Espina who, unfortunately, passed away before the pageant.

Before the pageant, Bayani Association donated five wheelchairs to the hemodialysis center of the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation.
The Bayani Association is a non-profit organization that aims to help and serve the community through projects and entertainment events.
