On Tuesday, British newspaper The Daily Mail published a story that revealed Malek is facing charges in the Bulford Military Court after hearing of the altercation in Guam.
According to the prosecutor, Malek and another Navy colleague had gotten into a fight with a group of Americans before a Royal Marine tried to intervene.
The Marine was punched and knocked to the ground, resulting in a broken jaw requiring two metal plates to be treated.
According to the prosecutor, Malek accepted during his interview with police he had been in an argument with the Americans but denied punching the Marine.
