Cases of grand larceny under police probe

The complainant was identified as Levelyne Renguul, 39- years old.

Based on the police report, Renguul parked his car, a Suzuki jeep colored green with plate no. 3716 Airai State, in front of Q-Ball from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Unknown suspects opened the sliding window of the car rear windshield and took $68 cash, various ATM cards, assorted CD’s, keys, iPod charger, cell phone charger, six packs of beer and small wallet containing a Palauan driver’s license.

No suspects have been identified. The case is under police investigation.

On the same day, another case of grand larceny was reported to the Palau Community College (PCC) Dormitory.

According to the police report, Eprahaim, security guard of the PCC, called and reported to the office that one of the students’ money was stolen by another student.

Police identified the victim as Taison Kotaro; while the suspect also identified as Russell Nabuo, a Chuukese national.

Police immediately responded and investigated the area. The suspect, however, fled the area before the police arrived.

Further report disclosed that Nabuo took the sweater of the victim that contains $70 and fled immediately.

Police however arrested the suspect after he returned to PCC later on. He was booked and confined.

The case is pending for citation only.
