Caution: Goats on the highway

A CONCERNED motorist is warning community members about goats that cross Highway 31 near bus shelter No. 125 every morning on Capital Hill.

The motorist, who declined to be identified, said the goats can “suddenly cross the road during the morning rush hour.”

“Every time I pass here in the morning I see them,” the motorist added.

The motorist was told that the goats are not the Department of Public Works-Highway Safety’s responsibility, as DPW is “mainly concerned about road construction.”

“I don’t understand why they have a ‘Highway Safety’ office if they are only concerned about construction,” the motorist added.

For his part, Department of Public Safety acting spokesman Patrick Arriola said the police will “look into it.”
