In a meeting Friday, Minister Jackson Ngiraingas said that it was agreed that a location in the center of Babeldaob is a suitable site for a landfill.
Ngiraingas in five-year time, the M-Dock landfill will be closed down that Palau has to identify a location to move the landfill.He said development of the site can start as soon as the site has been narrowed down.He said the governors agreed to submit a proposal where the most suitable site will be located.From the proposals, a site will be identified so that it could be developed as soon as possible.He said the waste disposal should be centralized.“The center of Babeldaob will be most appropriate because it will be more convenient,” Ngiraingas said.
