Sgt. Michael Rafael said an assault with a dangerous weapon was reported to the police on Saturday at 6:24 pm in Meyuns.
The suspect has been identified but no arrest has been made yet, Rafael said.The report did not indicate if the victim was treated for injuries.The report indicated that a man was hit from behind with a branch of a tree.Meanwhile, Rafael said two men were cited for negligent driving over the weekend.A 29-year-old woman and a man received citations when the cars they were driving hit another vehicle on separate incidents on Saturday and Sunday.The incident involving a woman was reported to the police on Saturday at 10:23 pm in Madelaii.The woman was driving from Topside towards Madelaii when she hit a car that was parked at the parking lot of Hanpa Mart in Madelaii.The other auto-auto collision was reported to the police on Sunday at 4:05 pm in front of the old OEK building.The driver of a vehicle one was cited for negligent driving when the car he was driving hit a car at the back.Rafael said the second vehicle was at the center lane and was about to make a left turn when the first vehicle over take and hit the car.No injuries were reported to the police.
