CNMI’s Little Miss Marianas visits the pediatric ward of Palau

Kayla Borja visited the young patients on Monday morning and gave them gifts that she and her family personally prepared.

Borja handed the young children a souvenir bag from Saipan containing snacks and candy goods.She also visited newly born babies and handed gifts to the mothers.Hospital administrator Nick Ngwal and Director of Bureau of Clinical Services Dr. Gregory Dever welcomed Kayla Borja and her family.After her short visit to the hospital, the Little Miss Marianas proceeded to the Office of the Vice President Elias Camsek Chin for a courtesy visit.Vice President Chin welcomed the Little Miss Marianas and spent 20 minutes of his time talking with Borja and her family.Chin also handed Borja a souvenir gold coin that symbolizes the Palauans culture.

Borja and her family are leaving on Thursday. They will be flying to Tokyo, Japan on Friday for a goodwill visit.Borja will also visit the pediatric ward of Tokyo to hand some gifts. After Tokyo, Borja will be flying back to Saipan in time for the Liberation Day parade.Borja an incoming seventh grade student was crowned Little Miss Marianas in July of 2007.She will relinquish her crown in September.
