HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — The holiday spirit has illuminated Hagåtña’s Skinner Plaza with their annual lights display, while also bringing light to the island’s patron saint.
From 6-9 p.m. since Dec. 8, the light display has shined. It’s the day Guam celebrates Santa Maria Kamalen, who is featured beside the holiday spectacle. Sponsored by the Guam Visitors Bureau and the Guam Museum, the second annual parade of lights will also be presented alongside the lights with their timed light show, accompanied by classic holiday jingles.
The parade of lights, a new addition to Skinner Plaza’s lights display, has received the success needed to become an annual show on island, showing Christmas favorites, including the Nutcracker and Santa Claus.
The official date of the parade is to be announced next week by GVB.
