
(SBDC) — The CNMI Small Business Development Center Network is thrilled to announce its distinguished presenters for the upcoming U.S. Small Business Administration’s Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer Program funded under the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The USDA SBIR program team will be providing a detailed overview on funding opportunities and other entrepreneurial resources that food and agricultural experts can use to advance their ideas. This presentation is appropriate for those who are interested in bringing their small business or research to life.

• Melinda Coffman, program coordinator for the USDA SBIR Program, will be facilitating the training at Tinian SBDC on Thursday, July 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Room D, Tinian NMC Center.

We are also excited to announce the newly confirmed details for the CNMI SBDC Network site (Saipan) training. This session will take place on Friday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the NMC As Terlaje Campus in Room V217. These training sessions will cover eligibility requirements, application processes, and strategies to leverage USDA SBIR/STTR programs for research and development projects in areas such as AgTech, artificial intelligence, national security, biotechnology, and clean energy. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with experts, gain critical knowledge, and explore funding opportunities to drive innovation and economic growth. There will also be time for open Q&A at the end of the presentation. Participants are also encouraged to prepare questions in advance.
