CCA’s ‘Hakuna-My-Tatas’ event moves for a cause

(CCA) — On Oct. 25, the Commonwealth Cancer Association extended its heartfelt appreciation to its amazing Zumba instructors and teams who brought energy, joy, and strength to this year’s 2nd Annual “Hakuna-My-Tatas Zumbathon,” held in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Despite the many events taking place that same evening, CCA was proud to welcome over 130 participants who came together to move for a cause and show support for those affected by breast cancer.

Franko Deleon Guerrero, CCA’s community outreach and marketing coordinator, led the planning, organization, and also served as emcee for the night. The event ran smoothly thanks to the support of his CCA team, including Jocelyn Deleon Guerrero (CCA board president), Rose Soledad (CCA board secretary/treasurer), Lynn Tenorio (executive director) and Mercilia Teigita (client services & administrative coordinator) and the dedicated volunteers who helped make it all possible.

CCA would like to give special recognition to the incredible Zins and coaches who led the dance floor with passion and purpose: Zin Abby Whang from Unity Is Love Zumba Dance Fitness, Zin Marina Reyes from 670ILoveZumba, Zin Mitch Olita and Coach Angelo Galfo from XTreme Fitness670 and FitBeat, along with their instructors Zin Helly, Susan, Terry Zhang, and Coach Irene Holl.

Finally, CCA would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all sponsors and donors who helped make this event a success: Kensington Hotel, Gold’s Gym, 670 Rocksteady, Calvo’s Insurance, McDonald’s Saipan, All Star Sporting Goods/Boarderline, Inas Kitchen, Kiara’s Gift Shop, JG Sablan Water & Ice, D&Q International Distributors, MarPac Inc., S.T.a.R. Water, IT&E, The Angry Penne, Pacific Islands Club, and the Office of U.S. Congresswoman Kimberlyn King-Hinds.
