(Special Advertising Feature) — Marianas Eye Institute proudly announces that Chester Moscoso has successfully passed the National Opticianry Competency Exam from the American Board of Opticianry, earning the prestigious title of ABO certified optician.
Chester has been part of the Marianas Eye Institute team for five years, initially serving both as a billing assistant and optical lab assistant before deciding to focus solely on optical services. As the clinic’s optical lab assistant, Chester has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to learning the art and science of optics. His determination to pursue certification reflects his deep dedication to professional growth and to serving patients with precision and care.
With this achievement, Chester now joins Alexander Racoma, the clinic’s senior optician, as an ABO certified optician — a milestone that reflects Marianas Eye Institute’s ongoing commitment to quality care and professional growth within our island community.
Reflecting on his accomplishment, Chester shared: “I’m grateful for the opportunity and the support from my colleagues and senior optician, Alex Racoma, which gave me the confidence to take the exam. Their guidance motivated me to step out of my comfort zone and finally take the leap. Though I started with little medical knowledge, I’m proud to now be a nationally certified optician.”
Marianas Eye Institute continues to hold multiple U.S.-recognized professional certifications, including:
Certified ophthalmic assistants Thelma Tenorio, Melonie Iguel, Florie Forbes, Clarissa Mendiola, and general manager Wendielyn Escota
Ophthalmic coding specialists Flor Racoma and Jennifer Armia
“It has only been six months since our last certification, and our goal remains to help the rest of our team achieve similar milestones. Chester’s success is a shining example of our commitment to excellence and professional development,” said Wendielyn Escota, general manager.
