(Press Release) — The Pacific Islands Club Saipan Duck Race has been fighting cancer alongside the community for more than a decade, and once again, the event on March 7, 2025, was a huge success.
“Donating the proceeds of the event is not just charity, but a promise of PIC Saipan’s commitment to giving back and helping those who need it most. We are supported by the entire community of Saipan. The selflessness of the people is what makes this island great. PIC Saipan is thankful for the support we have received over the years,” said Dennis Tababa, assistant general manager of PIC Saipan.
On October 29, 2025, PIC Saipan donated the proceeds to the Commonwealth Cancer Association. “This non-profit event was never a burden to PIC Saipan, but a blessing to have the chance to help and give hope to people,” said General Manager Y.S. Choi.
“The Commonwealth Cancer Association extends its sincere gratitude to Pacific Islands Club Saipan, managed by E-Land Group (Saipan), for their continued partnership and unwavering commitment to our mission. Through their long-standing tradition of hosting the Annual Duck Race, PIC Saipan has once again demonstrated dedication to giving back and making a positive impact in our community. Their generosity has directly contributed to our programs and services supporting cancer survivors and their families in the CNMI. We are truly grateful for this meaningful partnership,” said Franco Deleon Guerrero, community outreach and marketing coordinator of CCA.
Looking ahead, in March 2026, PIC Saipan and the “Army of Ducks” will return, hoping to capture the warm hearts of the public once again. Together, the fight against cancer will continue to shine a light on those in need.
Once again, CNMI! Thank you — Si Yu’us Ma’ase, Ghilissow, Salamat Po, Gamsahabnida, Arigatou, Khop Khun, Xièxiè.
