(Office of the Governor) — As the holiday season approaches, the 2023 Holiday Village committee is thrilled to announce the opening of the 2023 Christmas Village to the public. This year’s festivities will feature displays at the multi-purpose center in Susupe and at the Office of the Governor on Capital Hill.
There will be two kick-off lighting ceremonies to captivate visitors of all ages as the CNMI navigates its way into a holiday wonderland of lights, entertainment, and holiday cheer.
The main ceremony will be held at the Office of the Governor on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. A tree-lighting ceremony will be held simultaneously at the multi-purpose center in Susupe.
Admission is free and all members of the community are welcome!
The lighting ceremony on Capital Hill will feature holiday entertainment through live performances by local artists and light refreshments. Afterward, both villages will have light displays and photo opportunities throughout December.
This effort was only possible through many minds and many more hands. The 2023 Holiday Village Committee would like to thank the Offices of the Governor and Lt. Governor, the Multi-Purpose Center, the Division of Youth Affairs, the Indigenous Affairs Office, the Women’s Affairs Office, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, the Marianas Visitors Authority, and other agencies for their valuable contributions to this year’s festivities.
