THE First Lady Wella Foundation, in partnership with the Office of the Governor, the Women’s Affairs Office, the Marine Corps and the U.S. Marine Corps Camp Blaz, launched a Toys for Tots coin drive at Joeten Supermart in Susupe and Triple J Payless SuperFresh & Truckload Store in Chalan Kanoa on Saturday.

First Lady Wella Palacios said they are also collecting toys for children. She urged community members to share the Christmas spirit and bring joy to the children by donating new toys.

She said they will continue accepting donations until the final day of the campaign on Dec. 13, 2024. The foundation, she said, has been conducting the annual toy/coin drive campaign since the first year of Gov. Arnold I. Palacios and Lt. Gov. David M. Apatang’s administration.

First Lady Wella Foundation President Becky Cruz said 7,000 children from zero to 17 years old have received toys for Christmas.

The Toys for Tots drive-thru distribution will be held at the Office of the Governor on Capital Hill on Dec. 20, 2024, beginning at 5 p.m., while supplies last.

Cruz said they will also host a Halloween Night on Oct. 31, 2024, by giving out candy at Aqua Resort Club. She added that there will be a haunted house and other fun activities for children.
